Walden Pond

Greg and I biked to Walden Pond today. According to Google Maps, it's about 10 miles, which isn't bad for someone who is slowly becoming a bike rider (I say slow because it was hard to bike the first few weeks after I hurt my knee - it was filled with fluid and hurt to bend, much less bike). It was one of my last times on my bike before surgery, if not my last time. I don't know how much longer until I will be able to ride again, but it is one of the few ways that I have been able to exercise since hurting my knee. I'm really starting to enjoy it.

Cars totally get in the way. I really got spoiled by biking in the Netherlands where there were always bike paths and mostly bikes had the right of way, especially on Texel where there were few cars to worry about.
