Boston: Day 2

I started out today watching the US play Algeria in World Cup soccer. It was very exciting - the US had multiple chances to score in the first half, but just couldn't convert. In a poor move on my part, I had scheduled lunch for noon at Legal Seafood in Kendall Square, so I had to leave my place at 11:30 and miss most of the second half of the game. I was super bummed, but happy when I heard that the US had won. Fortunately my roommate is recording all of the games so I can watch it.

From Kendall Square/MIT, I walked across the Longfellow Bridge and along the Esplanade and the Charles River. I walked through the Public Garden and Boston Common - it didn't really seem like there was much to them. Not exactly something I would recommend to see. You could drive by it in your car and get the whole picture.

Next, I headed down Boylston toward the Boston Public Library, which was pretty cool and very Italian. I walked down Boylston and came back on Newbury, which is all brownstones converted into stores and restaurants. It's very cute. I could do some serious damage there.
