Country roads, take me home...

Went back to Atlanta this past weekend for my first visit since moving to Boston. Not really sure why I'm recapping since anyone who reads this blog was there for the momentous occasion, but I do want to write down my thoughts on the weekend.

I came in on Friday and met Angela, Kate and Katherine for lunch at Yeah! Burger. It was super yummy. Somehow I managed to spend $20 on lunch, but it was worth every penny. We had a great time catching up - in a lot of ways, it felt like I never left and we were doing another girls night (but in the middle of the day on Friday). I didn't spend a lot of time before the weekend thinking about how I would feel while I was there, but I did spend some time trying to be conscious of not trying to do too much or have my expectations too high while I was there, and I think that was beneficial. Everything was so much the same, but at the same time, it felt different. It felt great to be there and to see everyone, but it also didn't really feel like I was supposed to be there.

It also made me realize that friends are important, and it is important for me to keep up those connections. Just don't expect me to randomly drop in - that 3 hour flight is a doozy.
